The Vancouver Rise FC continued its undefeated streak Saturday with a win over the Calgary Wild FC.
The Rise FC defeated the Wild FC 6-0 at home in Swangard Stadium in Burnaby.
Saturday’s win keeps Rise FC in second place with 32 points in the Northern Super League. AFC Toronto is in first place with 38 points.
The Rise FC held possession 62 per cent of the match and took 24 shots, eight of which were on goal, while the Wild FC took 11 shots, five of which were on goal.
Rise FC's Latifah Abdu scored her first two goals during the 15th and 53rd minutes during her debut match with the team. She previously played for the Montréal Roses FC before she was transferred to the Rise FC.
Rise FC head coach Anja Heiner-Møller said, “I saw a team that came together and did well on scoring goals, of course, but also having periods in the game where we needed to do better."
"And they took that under their wing and still tried to fix those things. I really like to see that we grew throughout the game. So happy about winning the first half, we talked about that before the game, then winning the second half after we had that postponed second half, and of course, scoring lots of goals!”

Perrault, 19, joins the Rise FC from the Danish team FC Nordsjælland, where she played 11 matches since joining in January 2025. Before that, she was a part of the then-Whitecaps FC Girls Elite Academy.
The Rise FC's next match is against AFC Toronto on Sept. 13 at York Lions Stadium in Toronto at 11 a.m.
Vancouver Rise are part of Canada's first professional women's soccer league, the Northern Super League. The other clubs are Calgary Wild FC, Halifax Tides FC, Montréal Roses, Ottawa Rapid FC and AFC Toronto.
The top four teams in the league will play in the semifinals.
