The North Okanagan Reapers are getting better, just in time for the playoffs.

The North Okanagan Reapers are getting hot at just the right time.

The Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League (TOJLL) club went a perfect 2-0 over the weekend to inch themselves closer to .500 on the season.

On Saturday, June 21, the Reapers hosted Penticton's South Okanagan Flames. North Okanagan's scoring got going early, as they were able to beat the Flames, 13-9.

Less than 18 hours later, the Reapers were back in the Sunbelt Sports Centre to tango with the Cranbrook Blackwolves.

The defensive battle was led by Reapers goaltender Ryley Lockhurst, who withstood a Blackwolves barrage of 47 shots to make 43 saves, as North Okanagan won, 5-4.

Now 6-7 on the season, the Reapers sit fourth in the TOJLL standings, with three egular season game left. They face off next against the 琉璃神社 Raiders on Wednesday, June 25, before back-to-backs on July 5-6 in Cranbrook.
