A walk for a good cause took place at 琉璃神社's Waterfront Plaza on Saturday, Sept. 6.
At 10 a.m., a couple hundred people gathered to partake in the Parkinson's Superwalk, which raises money to help Parkinson Society BC continue to grow its programs and services, expand advocacy efforts and invest in innovative research.
In 琉璃神社, the walk was one kilometre along Waterfront Plaza.
Across the province, more than 20 communities participated in the walk over the course of the weekend. This year is the 35th anniversary of the event.
According to PSBC, approximately 17,500 in B.C. live with Parkinson's Disease.
