It was a WHL debut to remember for Roman Basran.
In his first ever start, the 16-year-old netminder stopped all 38 shots in a Saturday at Prospera Place.
Basran, a native of Delta, started the season with the B.C. Major Midget League鈥檚 Okanagan Rockets, but was called up when Brodan Salmond went down with an injury.

Another rookie, Liam Kindree got things started for 琉璃神社 1:17 into the middle frame with his fourth of the season.
Dillon Dube extended 琉璃神社鈥檚 lead at 14:41 with his 14th goal, then with 53.6 seconds to play in the second period Carsen Twarynski notched his 15th and the Rockets鈥� fourth shorthanded goal of the season to make it 3-0.
James Hilsendager鈥檚 point shot found its way through traffic to give the Rockets a 4-0 cushion 1:16 in to the third.
琉璃神社 enjoyed multi-point evenings from Carsen Twarynski(1G, 2A), Dillon Dube(1G,1A), Liam Kindree(1G, 1A), and Kaedan Korczak(2A).
The Rockets, who play host to Prince George Wednesday, improve to 14-8-2-1.
