The City of Enderby is hosting Boots by the River, a free outdoor country concert and dance, on Friday, July 11, 2025.

Not long after Canada Day celebrations liven up Enderby on Tuesday, it will be time to trade your maple leaf flags for cowboy boots when a country music and dance event gets the city moving.

Boots by the River is a free outdoor country concert and dance, being hosted by the city along the Shuswap River at Belvidere Park (702 Railway St. behind the Visitor Centre) Friday, July 11.

As for the dress code, you can't go too country for this one. Attendees are encouraged to wear anything and everything denim, bring their cowboy boots and hat, and don't be afraid to add a belt buckle to complete the look.

"The hope is that we attract country fans, and honestly, a crowd of people from across the Okanagan who are looking for a fun Friday night of dancing," said Kelsey Campbell, with the city.

The concert will run from 7 to 9:30 p.m. There will be food trucks on site, a portable dance floor and ample room for picnic blankets and lawn chairs. People are also advised to bring water and, of course, their best singing voice.

The title sponsor for the event is the Enderby Legion Branch 98.

There will be plenty of other fun things to do in Enderby before Boots by the River.

Enderby is hosting a full day of Canada Day festivities on Tuesday, July 1. The day starts with a pancake breakfast in Riverside Park, followed by a parade and loads of interactive activities for families, alongside a classic car show at Riverside Park. Canada Day will wrap up with a fireworks show at 10 p.m.

New this year, the parade route has been flipped to start at the Visitor Centre at 11:30 a.m., travelling along Railway Street and Howard Avenue, and will finish at the arena right by Riverside Park.

There will be non-stop activities from 12-2 p.m., including a photo scavenger hunt, a kids fun zone, Evan the Juggler, balloon animals, bouncy castles, fire truck tours and an outdoor museum courtesy of the Enderby and District Museum and Archives.

A free swim will be held at the outdoor pool from 2-4 p.m.

More Canada Day info can be found on the city's .
