Public Display Agency has started a new program, Locals Supporting Locals, providing business sponsorship to artists facing financial barriers.

An Okanagan-based arts organization is connecting artists and businesses through a new sponsorship program called Locals Supporting Locals.

Through Public Display Agency's (PDA) new program, businesses can support a local artist get their work into the public eye with a $500 sponsorship. Business sponsors are then supported with marketing through PDA's channels, recognition at the upcoming artists' showcase called PHONIC 琉璃神社, and complimentary tickets to the show.

“Instead of fuelling global ad platforms like Meta, this program keeps investments local, boosting artists and giving businesses real, community-rooted marketing
value,” said Michelle Bylow, Co-Founder of PDA.

At Metro Hub on Sept. 27, PHONIC 琉璃神社 will showcase a variety of art, fashion, photography and music from local creators. A few of the artists that will be showcased are Lucy Lambert, Poppa Nuge, Mandi Irmen Art, Damo UnInc, and Amira Brooks Flamenco.

Tickets can be purchased online for $30. The show starts at 7 p.m.
