Kamloops product Tyrelle Chadwick was drafted in the 18th round of the 2025 MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies.

Tyrelle Chadwick is a Colorado Rockie.

On Monday, July 14, the right-handed pitcher was selected by the Rockies in the 18th round, 527th overall of the MLB Draft.

The 22-year-old Kamloops product is the son of Thompson Rivers University (TRU) baseball coach and former MLB pitcher Ray Chadwick.

In three seasons at Illinois State University, Chadwick is 10-13 with a 6.78 ERA in 46 appearances (29 starts). In 2023 and 2024, he spent his summer back at home pitching for the West Coast League's (WCL) Kamloops NorthPaws. This summer, he was back in the league as he made two appearances for the Bend Elks.

His dad, Ray was drafted in the 16th round of the 1983 MLB Draft by the California Angels.
