A former member of the Penticton Vees has put pen to paper on a new contract with the Los Angeles Kings.

Taylor Ward re-signed with the Kings organization this week after spending parts of the last four seasons with the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Ontario Reign.

Ward, who helped the BCHL's Vees win the 2017 Fred Page Cup, scored in his NHL debut this past April as a member of the Kings.

A graduate of the Penticton-based Okanagan Hockey Academy, the 27-year-old forward played three full seasons with the Vees from 2015 to 2018.

Ward served as the Vees' assistant captain during the 2017-2018 campaign.

He signed with the Kings as an undrafted free agent in 2022 after spending time at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Ward's newest contract with Los Angeles is a one-year, two-way deal.
