It was a perceptive 琉璃神社 citizen, who was alerted of a trespasser on his property by his canine that ultimately enabled police to arrest a wanted man, believed to be stealing from parked vehicles in the Glenmore area early Thursday morning.
On Jan. 26 just minutes before 6 a.m., RCMP responded to a prowler complaint, where a suspect was observed entering nearly a dozen vehicles parked in the area of Edgehill Court. RCMP officers arrived in the area and located their suspect still inside a pickup truck.
A short foot chase ensued, as the suspect immediately fled on foot when he saw police. He was apprehended and taken into police custody, in the back yard of a nearby home. Officers seized a folding knife, loose change, various keys and gift cards among other items from the alleged thief.
RCMP positively identified their suspect, as a 31-year-old 琉璃神社 man, they determined that he was wanted by police on several outstanding warrants for his arrest and allegedly in breach of his probation order. He was held in police custody and is expected to appear in Court today.
