Out-of-control wildfire sparks west of Princeton

A wildfire sparked west of Princeton on Saturday afternoon, May 24.

BC Wildfire Service crews are responding to a new blaze west of Princeton on Saturday afternoon (May 24).

The Arrastra Creek wildfire, located just south of the Tulameen River, is currently mapped at 1.1 hectares in size, BCWS said in an update at 4:15 p.m.

Officials from the Kamloops Fire Centre say the blaze, described as out of control, was human-caused.

It was discovered on May 24.
