A sudden lane change with such force caused another car to flip onto its roof Tuesday morning.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP were called to the crash shortly before 8 a.m. July 15.

"A small car was travelling eastbound in the right hand lane on 25th Avenue in Vernon," said Cpl. Tania Finn, media relations officer.

At the intersection of 34th Street, another car made a right hand turn onto 25th Avenue and quickly changed lanes into the eastbound car.

It was enough to cause the eastbound vehicle to flip and land on its roof.

No injuries were reported to police and both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The driver of the vehicle making the right hand turn from 34th Street was charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for unsafe lane change.
