The highway was closed for roughly two and a half hours.

Original:

An incident involving a motorcycle has closed Highway 97A in Enderby Thursday afternoon.

The highway is closed in both directions at Meadow Crescent due to the incident that occurred between Knight Avenue and Brickyard Road, DriveBC reported around 3 p.m. May 8.

No detour is available and drivers can expect major delays, according to DriveBC.

BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) received a call about the incident involving a motorcycle around 2:30 p.m. Two ambulances with primary care paramedics and one ambulance with advanced care paramedics responded to the scene.

No patients were transported to hospital, according to BCEHS public information officer Brian Twaites.

Social media reports indicated an air ambulance had landed near the scene, but Twaites did not confirm that an air ambulance attended, making no mention of an air ambulance in an emailed response to The Morning Star.

An assessment is in progress and DriveBC's next update will come at 6 p.m.

The Morning Star has reached out to the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP for more information but has not yet received a response.
