Fire crews were called to the Glenmore Landfill Friday afternoon after a blaze sparked on the property.
The fire appeared to be close to the Glenmore Road access and multiple crews were called to the scene. At least five fire trucks were on scene along with a landfill water tender.
Smoke could be seen coming from the area at about 2:45 p.m.
It鈥檚 unclear what started the fire, however, it appears crews will be on scene for awhile as a garbage pile is still smouldering.
