A Vernon shoe store is offering a reward to anyone who can provide information regarding a recent theft at the store.
Cobbler鈥檚 Rack was broken into on Jan. 27 around 6 a.m. The thief or thieves took several items, including some high-end handbags.
Cobbler鈥檚 Rack is now offering a reward of $1,000 for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of those responsible for the theft.
The windows of the store on 30th Avenue were smashed during the theft and are currently covered by plywood, along with a notice detailing the reward offer.
鈥淚n an effort to expedite the investigation and encourage community involvement, we are offering a reward of $1,000 for any information that leads to the apprehension and prosecution of those responsible,鈥 the notice reads.
Cobbler鈥檚 Rack asks anyone who witnessed anything suspicious near the store around the time of the theft to contact the RCMP immediately.
鈥淲e believe that with the support of our vigilant community, we can bring those people to justice.鈥
The notice emphasizes that confidentially is 鈥渙f utmost importance,鈥 and any information shared will be handled with discretion.
