The City of Enderby will unveil its Public Arts Sculpture Program at the rear parking lot Friday, July 18, at 11 a.m.

A public space is a great place to launch a public art program.

The City of Enderby will enhance the community through the display of inspiring art in public places with the start of its Public Art Sculpture Program.

"We are thrilled to award the inaugural sculpture lease (one year) to local artist Hop You for his stunning work, Mother Earth," said the city in a release. "The sculpture will be prominently displayed on the east side of Highway 97A (George Street), adjacent to Enderby City Hall."

Hop You, will be joined by Splatsin Kukpi7 (chief) Michael Christian and Tkwamipla7 (council), and City of Enderby Mayor Huck Galbraith and council, as they unveil the Mother Earth sculpture on Friday, July 18, at 11 a.m. in the Enderby City Hall parking lot.

This event is open for all to celebrate the beautiful and thought-provoking artistic contribution to the community.

Pizza and refreshments will be served.

The Enderby Chapel has made its parking lot available for attendees to park in during the event, as parking may be limited downtown on the day of the event.
