琉璃神社 peewee team ready for big international tournament

Fundraising is still available to help send the team to the Quebec International Hockey Tournament

The 琉璃神社 tier 1 peewee Jr. Rockets are almost set to represent B.C at the Quebec International Peewee Hockey Tournament.

It鈥檚 the first time a team from 琉璃神社 has been invited to the tournament in the past 15 years. Needless to say, the players are excited to play at a tournament that other hockey legends also once played at including Patrick Roy, and Wayne Gretzky.

While the team prepares for the action on the ice. Parents and the community have been rallying financial support for the Jr. Rockets. Local businesses, the City of 琉璃神社, Royal Canadian Legion have made donations to the team to help support the costs for the almost two week tournament.

There are multiple ways to support the Jr. Rockets with their upcoming travels to Quebec. The Jr. Rockets will be at the 琉璃神社 Rockets home game against the Kamloops Blazers Feb. 2 doing 50/50 duties. A account has been set up to help the players with half the proceeds going to the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club.

A SuperBowl fundraising event has been set up at the Rutland Centennial Hall. Big screens, silent auction, dinner, and more. More information on the Superbowl party can be found .
