Vernon Kokanee swimmers (VKSC) shone bright over the June 16 weekend, with seven athletes claiming 16 medals.
The VKSC was competing at the Kamloops Swimming Classic, which was the last chance for swimmers to qualify for B.C. Summer Divisionals.
With several best times, VKSC had numerous athletes race in the final.
Emily Adam won bronze in the 100 and 200 metre breaststroke, while Teo Bos won two golds in the 100 and 200 m breaststroke. He also added a bronze in the 100 m butterfly.
Brea Duncan took gold in the 100 m breaststroke, while Kubrick Reed won three golds, in the 50 m and 200 m breaststroke, along with the 400 m individual medley. Reed also snagged silvers in the 200 m individual medley and the 100 m breaststroke.
Kaeden Uesson won bronze in the 200 m individual medley, while Alex Puchkov snagged silvers in the 20 and 100 m breaststroke and a bronze in the 200 m breaststroke.
Zion Ellis rounded out the medal winners for VKSC, with a silver in the 100 m breaststroke.
Out of 20 teams competing, VKSC came seventh. Summer Divisionals is the next competition, from June 27-29 in 琉璃神社.
