Tyler Burke's money is no good in Grand Forks anymore.
The Vernon hockey product and his teammates with the 2024-25 Grand Forks Border Bruins will be forever remembered in the Boundary city after the franchise won its first-ever Kootenay International Junior Hockey League Teck Cup championship Sunday, April 13, in Revelstoke.

鈥淚鈥檓 beyond grateful. We won the championship, that is the biggest thing for me,鈥 said Burke to KIJHL social media after Game 4. 鈥淚t feels great, it feels surreal. I鈥檓 still soaking it all in. It鈥檚 cool and all, but in the end, the championship is what it鈥檚 all about.鈥
