Skateboarders are invited to show off their moves Friday, July 25 in Coldstream.

A pop-up skateboard competition is rolling into Coldstream for any riders and grinders wanting to show off their moves.

The Skateboard Best Trick Session takes place at Creekside skatepark Friday, July 25 at 7 p.m.

"Local skaters and skaters from all around will be partaking in this exciting and fun event," said Nathan Fisher of Vernon's Pop Mode Skate and Snowboard Shop.

One segment will be held on a street structure where skaters will flip over transitions, slide and grind down ledges and rails to win prizes.

The second segment will be a rip the park session where skaters will take turns putting together their best transition run skating the bowl, quarter pipes and other park features.

Both segments will be a jam format where skaters take turns trying their tricks and runs.

"Prizes will be given away on merit of the skater doing the best trick or run that they can do and not be judged against what other skaters tricks or runs are," said Fisher.

This session is open for all to enter and attend.

"No registration is required, just show up, skate to your best ability, have fun and win prizes."
