It was all fun for the Okanagan Sun, who won their second straight BCFC game in a shutout, 42-0 to the Vancouver Island Raiders at the 琉璃神社 Apple Bowl on Saturday, July 26.

The Okanagan Sun continue to show why they are the class of the British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC).

After kicking off their season a week ago with an emphatic 39-0 shutout of the Langley Rams, the Sun backed it up at home with a 42-0 destruction of the Vancouver Island Raiders on Saturday, July 26.

Linebacker Phil Palmarin and defensive back Tariq Brown each nabbed two interceptions, as the stout Sun defence allowed just 126 total yards.

Palmarin added five solo tackles, two assists and two special teams tackles to go along with his pick.

Offensively, the Sun were quick to set the tone, marching for an eight-play, 75-yard touchdown drive to kick off the game.

Quarterback Liam Kroeger went 24-33 for two touchdowns and one interception, while the rushing game was led by Gerren Hardisty's 124 yards and two scores.

Ethan Bilo and backup QB Marcus Christo also scampered into the end zone, as the Sun tallied 420 offensive yards and six total touchdowns, two each in the first, third and fourth quarters.

Receiver Jasiah Haliburton snagged a 55-yard catch and run, while Vincent Chuoi grabbed the other Kroeger touchdown pass.

The sole negative from the game was the undisciplined play from Okaangan, who amassed 16 penalties for 155 yards.

Next up, the perfect season will see a test from the 1-1 Prince George Kodiaks, as the Sun will host the northern team on Saturday, Aug. 2. Kick off is set for 7 p.m.
