OMAHA director Joel de Boer recently awarded Salmon Arm hockey player Cayden Goosen with the organization's Most Valuable U18 T2 Player award, and Salmon Arm coach Lori Adamson with OMAHA's Nonie Miyazaki Award for Volunteer of the Year.

A local hockey player and a local volunteer were recently honoured by the Okanagan Mainline Amateur Hockey Association (OMAHA).

Salmon Arm Minor Hockey Association (SAMHA) coach Lori Adamson was presented with OMAHA's Nonie Miyazaki Award
for Volunteer of the Year. Adamson was coach and assistant coach for three SAMHA teams this past hockey season and was also the association's risk and safety manager.

Miyazaki volunteered with OMAHA for several years until her passing this year.

SAMHA hockey player Cayden Goosen was also honoured by OMAHA, receiving the organization's Most Valuable U18 T2 Player award. Goosen played for the Salmon Arm Northern Plastics U18 T2 team. The league MVP is determined by players throughout the league.
