Wildfire sparks on Highway 3 south of Princeton

BC Wildfire Service Crews are fighting a blaze along Highway 3 south of Princeton on Saturday, April 19.

The Cable Creek wildfire, located east of Manning Provincial Park and suspected to be human-caused, has grown to 0.3 hectares, as of 11:30 a.m.

It was first discovered on April 18 and considered "out of control," according to BCWS.

DriveBC has not reported any road closures along Highway 3 due to the fire.

Crews from BCWS' Coastal Fire Centre are fighting the blaze, which represents one of three "out of control" wildfires in the province on April 19.
