Vernon North Okanagan RCMP is investigating a shooting that took place on Wednesday, April 16, and asking for the public's help.
Just before noon, officers were called to the 4000-block of 25th Street for a shooting that left one person injured.
According to Mounties in a Friday morning press release, two suspects, both believed to be men, were seen fleeing the scene on foot. One was wearing a red sweater with a blue puffy vest and shoulder-length curly hair, and the other was in a white hooded sweater, stated RCMP. Additionally, an older model beige Toyota Sienna van was seen in the area of the shooting occupied by two people wearing hockey masks.
Anyone who was in the area of 25th Street and 27th Street from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday and may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour or saw individuals matching the description, and anyone with surveillance or dashcam footage is being asked to contact Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 with the file number 2025-5550.
