Split North Okanagan riding offers important election information

Residents in Spallumcheen will vote in either the Vernon-Lake Country- Monashee electoral district or the Kamloops-Shuswap-Central Rockies electoral district

Residents in the Township of Spallumcheen are split into two separate ridings for the upcoming 2025 federal election.

To avoid confusion on where to vote, the Township has released important information.

Residents located in the southern part of Spallumcheen are voting for the Vernon-Lake Country- Monashee electoral district while residents in the northern part of Spallumcheen will be voting for the Kamloops-Shuswap-Central Rockies electoral district.

Information on resident's voting cards should be followed, and the Township wants people to ensure they verify voting information prior to showing up, as Elections Canada states that you can only vote at your assigned polling station.

On election day (Monday, April 28), those voting in the Kamloops-Shuswap-Central Rockies electoral district can do so at the Sunbelt Arena from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Advanced polls are available April 18-21 at the Odd Fellows Hall from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Those voting in the Vernon-Lake Country-Monashee electoral district can do so at the Desert Cove Rec Centre from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with advanced polling available April 18-21 at the Rec Centre from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

For additional questions, Elections Canada can be contacted directly at 1-800-463-6868. If someone does not receive a voter's card in the mail, they can go to  for more information.
