The Hit2Fit Charity Boxing Gala returns with its 7th annual fundraising event at the Salmon Arm Rec Centre on Saturday, April 26, in support of Jaxon's Memorial Endowment Fund and the SAFE Society.

Saturday night's all right for fighting, and competing boxers are going to get a little action in at the 7th annual Hit2Fit Charity Boxing Black Tie Gala.

Presented by Bulldog Boxing and Boxing 4 Wellness with a theme of Pressure Makes Diamonds, the event is being held from 4 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, and promises to be an evening to remember in support of local non-profit initiatives.

This year's chosen beneficiaries are Jaxon's Memorial Endowment Fund, to build an all-inclusive three-storey playhouse, and the SAFE Society that helps those experiencing domestic violence.

"Both are important local charities. Part of the Hit2Fit is community investment," Boxing 4 Wellness board secretary Stacie Grant said in an email. "This is a way for participants to give back."

The gala is the culmination the Hit2Fit Challenge where community members sign up for four months of intense training by Bulldog coaches Peggy Maerz, who was the first female to win Coach of the Year from Boxing Canada, and Canadian champion Jordyn Konrad to learn the sport of boxing while fundraising for the chosen charities. They then step into the ring on April 26 to showcase their skills in a match, with headlining boxer Ben Williams also joining them behind the ropes as part of his fight against cancer.

Prior to the matches, the evening will start with a catered dinner, with guests encouraged to also check out the silent auction and other ways to support the charities. Fight night follows at 7 p.m., with up to 15 bouts featuring the local challengers as well as matches with boxers from around the province.

"The 2025 Hit2Fit Boxing Charity Gala is not just about entertainment. This event also serves a purpose that goes beyond the ring," organizers said on the event website. "It's an opportunity to enjoy a spectacular evening while making a difference in our community."

Tickets to the event, which will be held in the Salmon Arm Rec Centre Auditorium, are available online through , or  directly.
