The victim of a fatal motorcycle crash near Postill Lake Lodge the evening of June 23 has been identified by friends and family online as Patrick Tur.
A fundraiser has been started to remember the fun-loving outdoorsman by his sister Sarah Cadence to support his partner Kayla and daughter Kinley.
鈥淚 would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of support and contributions to our fundraiser,鈥 said Cadence.
鈥淧atrick made a huge impact on his community and family and will be greatly missed. We have high hopes that the police will conduct a thorough investigation as we believe there is a criminal aspect to his unfortunate death, but hope the investigation will be concluded soon so we can pay tribute and lay Patrick to rest.鈥
The GoFundMe reads:
Patrick was loved by everyone, and brought light and laughter to every situation. He was the most optimistic and outgoing person I鈥檝e ever known.
Patrick has left behind his partner of ten years Kayla, and their daughter Kinley. Patrick and Kayla had one of the most amazing relationships and lives I鈥檝e ever been lucky enough to see. Patrick was a dedicated partner, father, son, brother, and friend.
You could tell he was there just by his laugh, before you even saw him.
President of the Okanagan Forest Task Force Kane Blake shared the fundraiser to Facebook, saying Tur was a member of OFTF and expressing his condolences to the family.
琉璃神社 RCMP say the call came in around 8:20 p.m. on June 23 to assist BC Emergency Health Services with a car crash on Postill Lake Forest Service Road.
Tur was driving his dirt bike about five kilometres up the road when he collided with a pickup truck.
The 琉璃神社 Municipal Traffic Criminal Crash Investigation team is leading the investigation. No arrests have been made.
The is over halfway to its goal of $20,000.
