The crash that closed Highway 97A near Mara Lake was cleared at about 9:45 p.m. after five hours.
A collision, described by a witness as involving a truck and a motorcycle, closed the highway just before 5:30 p.m.
It is not currently known how serious any injuries are as a result of the crash.

A crash has closed Highway 97A near Mara Lake until late Friday night.
The collision happened just before 5:30 p.m. on July 19. According to a witness, the crash between a pick-up truck and a motorcycle and an air ambulance was called to the scene.
DriveBC states the highway is closed in both directions between Mara Heights Road and Sicamous Creek Frontage, two kilometres south of Sicamous. An assessment is in progress, and it's expected to be closed for several hours. DriveBC's next update is at 11 p.m.
Highway 97B & Highway 1 are alternative routes available for travellers.
