UPDATE:
A portion of Aberdeen Road has been reopened.
The road remains closed from Venables Drive to Middleton Drive, with only local traffic permitted.
The closure is expected until 5 p.m.
Those situated between Highway 6 and Middleton Drive can use the Middleton Drive detour for access.
"Thank you for your patience and understanding," the District of Coldstream said.

A major connector road in Coldstream is closed.
Aberdeen Road is closed from Kalamalka Road to Highway 6 as of Thursday, July 24.
Local traffic is being allowed in and out of the affected area.
A flag worker said a gas line was hit amid sewer construction on Aberdeen.
Fortis is on scene.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
