The 105th edition of the Falkland Stampede, one of Canada's oldest rodeos, goes Saturday to Monday, May 17-19, at the Falkland Stmapede Grounds on Highway 97.

One of Canada's oldest rodeos returns to the bucking chutes for the May long weekend.

The 105th Falkland Stampede runs Saturday to Monday, May 17-19, at the Stampede Grounds off Highway 97.

The rodeo featuring the world's top cowboys and cowgirls begins on Saturday at 1 p.m., followed by a spectacular parade through downtown Falkland on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. with rodeo action starting at 2 p.m. (travellers take note: Highway 97 will be closed for the duration of the parade Sunday).

The fun continues on Monday at 10 a.m. with the heavy horse pull and the rodeo is at 1 p.m, so there's plenty of time to enjoy the thrill of the competition.

For your convenience, online ticket holders can enter through Gate 1 at the east end of the Stampede Grounds. Online tickets can be purchased at .

The party doesn't stop when the sun goes down – there's a 19+ dance now located at the skating rink right next to the Grounds on Saturday and Sunday night, starting at 9 p.m. each night featuring The Dirt Road Kings.

If you have pre-sale tickets, you're guaranteed entry with two pieces of valid ID until 10 p.m. After 10 p.m., you may need to wait in line if the rink is full.
