The City of West 琉璃神社 has a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

Ron Bowles will start work remotely on August 15, and then in-person on September 15.

A media release from the city states Bowles has 20 years of local government leadership experience, and was recently employed by the City of Brandon, MB as its city manager.

鈥淭he City of West 琉璃神社 continues to deliver programs, services and infrastructure at a very high level and our quickly growing community can count on Mr. Bowles to provide strong guidance and solution-driven, partnership-oriented leadership,鈥 said Mayor Gord Milsom.

Bowles said he is excited to start his new position.

鈥淚 have enjoyed working for the City of Brandon and I will miss the community that our team has built here. I could not pass up the opportunity to work for a purpose-driven and forward-thinking council in a dynamic, rapidly growing and evolving community.鈥

Bowles replaces former CAO Paul Gipps who left in February 2024 to take the same position at the District of Lake Country. West 琉璃神社 hired former 琉璃神社 CAO Ron Mattiussi while it searched for Gipp鈥檚 replacement.

The city retained Leaders International Executive Search to assist with the recruitment of a new CAO.
