'Textbook rescue' for ATVer in West 琉璃神社

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue Search (COSAR) manager Duane Tresnich called the team's latest rescue "textbook."

A man's all-terrain vehicle broke down near Mount Miller in West 琉璃神社 late Wednesday evening (April 30). 

With emergency satellite communications, COSAR confirmed the individual was not injured and had some essential items with him. 

The man spent the night safely next to a fire until rescuers were sent out early on May 1, to bring him out of the bush.
