The Peachland Classic Car Show shifted into high gear in 2025, raising nearly $24,000 this year for community programs with a focus on youth, education and wellness.
Organized by the Peachland Chamber of Commerce and a team of volunteers, the annual event has become both a showcase for classic vehicles and a major local fundraiser.
鈥The Peachland Classic Car Show showcases incredible vehicles and shines a spotlight on our local Beach Avenue businesses that they park in front of,鈥 said Jonathan Wall, Chamber president. 鈥淏ut clearly, it is about much more than just that. This event truly drives home what makes Peachland such a special place.鈥
This year鈥檚 show generated $23,800 in donations. Among the highlights was the creation of the Peachland Wellness Centre (PWC) Youth Activity Grant, which was launched with $10,000 in seed funding. The grant will help children and teens access sports, art, music and other activities, regardless of their family鈥檚 financial situation.
鈥淲e are honoured to undertake the administration of the PWC Youth Activity Grant and to be part of the legacy it may create for Peachland,鈥 said Millie Marshall, PWC executive director. 鈥淭his support has made the program possible and will bring a meaningful difference to the lives of local children and families.鈥
Other community donations included:
- $2,000 for Peachland Elementary School鈥檚 book program;
- $1,000 for Peachland Youth Soccer for new jerseys;
- $500 to Apple Valley Cruisers bursary program;
