Okanagan radio stations to rebrand under new Vista Radio ownership

The stations were bought out as part of a February deal between Vista Radio and Bell Media

From Salmon Arm to Osoyoos, new names are taking over the airwaves as Vista Radio rebrands the stations it bought from Bell earlier in 2025.

Vista announced the rebrandings of several stations on April 14, less than a month after the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission approved its broadcasting licenses.

Penticton's MOVE 97.1 FM and BOUNCE 800 AM, Summerland's BOUNCE 98.5 FM, Osoyoos' BOUNCE 1240 AM, Salmon Arm's BOUNCE 91.5 FM and the North Okanagan's PURE COUNTRY 105.7 FM are all part of the $3 million purchase Vista made for Bell Media's stations in B.C.

The press releases say the rebranding will see stations become GO FM 97.1, Summit Radio 800 AM, Summit Radio 91.5 FM, and The Ranch 105.7 FM joining the rebranding.

It was not announced whether the other stations will also be rebranding or what to.

Vista also assured listeners that many of their non-musical staples won't be going anywhere, including Summit Radio remaining the Penticton Vees play-by-play station and The Ranch continuing to support local community events in Vernon and the North Okanagan.

Support for the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation鈥檚 annual Radiothon on May 28 was directly cited as one example.

The expansion makes Vista Radio Canada鈥檚 second largest commercial radio broadcaster, with 10 stations in the Okanagan and another 11 across the rest of B.C.
