There’s a new way to get from Peachland to West ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç—and it doesn’t involve a car.
The Westside Multi-Use Trail now links the two communities, giving cyclists and pedestrians a safe and scenic route straight to Goat’s Peak Park.
The trail starts at Robinson Lane in Peachland and winds toward Goat’s Peak Park, passing under Highway 97 near Seclusion Bay Road. It includes off-street pathways and a stretch of neighbourhood bikeway along Drought Road. Visitors can park on Beach Avenue and access the trail via Buchanan Road and Robinson Place.
This new connection is part of a larger vision to create a 250-kilometre trail system stretching from Sicamous to Osoyoos. Once complete, the network will link several existing trails, including the Shuswap North Okanagan Rail Trail, the Okanagan Rail Trail, and the Trail of the Okanagans.
Construction on the Westside Multi-Use Trail began in October 2024, supported by $776,000 from the BC Active Transportation Infrastructure Grants Program and $356,400 from the federal Communities’ Active Transportation Fund.
The trail is open for use and a grand opening celebration is in the works.
