A mountain biker was saved by Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR) after finding himself injured in West 琉璃神社's Smith Creek area on Saturday, May 10.
The biker was initially reached by visiting volunteers from Golden Search and Rescue. COSAR's e-bike team was deployed to asses the man and prepare him for transport.
With difficult terrain, the individual was taken by helicopter out of the area and to a waiting ambulance.
B.C. has 78 volunteer search and rescue groups that provide free rescue services.
