An infill housing project for the central city and a childcare facility for east 琉璃神社 have been submitted to city hall.

A development permit application proposes a six-unit project at 934 Laurier Avenue, between Ethel Street and Gagnon Place.

The units are separated into two, three-storey buildings with one fronting Laurier Ave. and the other a rear lane.

鈥淭he intention of this proposal is to create infill development in an area of 琉璃神社 which is walkable, bikeable, and has access to nearby amenities,鈥� the development permit states. 鈥淭he property is within close proximity to the Capri Center, the Highway 97 Corridor, and Downtown 琉璃神社.鈥�

Also submitted to the city is a development permit for a childcare facility at 3419 East 琉璃神社 Road. Documents show a one-storey building (S.E. Montessori School) that would provide care for children up to five years old.

Both developments still need to be considered by council.
