According to multiple social media posts, a dog is missing as a result of the crash that occurred at Harvey Avenue and Burtch Road in 琉璃神社 on Thursday, April 17.

The multi-vehicle crash happened around 6:30 p.m., causing one of the cars to land on its slide with the windshield smashed out.

It's unknown if anyone was injured as a result of the crash, which closed the northbound lanes of Harvey Avenue for a couple hours.

After the crash, multiple people on social media reported a dog was seen running away from the scene, and possibly made its way towards Orchard Park Mall.

Jessica Marie, who made the , told Black Press Media the dog, Zoe, is a rescue and because of this is "probably so terrified and hiding somewhere."

Marie added they are searching a 10-kilometre radius around Orchard Park Mall and where the incident happened. Additionally, anyone is welcome to join as search.

She also added they had a dog tracker reach out and recommended using these items to help:

  • 3D printer for whistle;
  • Thermal drone for large open areas;
  • Printer for the red posters;
  • Neon paper, sandwich boards, packing tape, stapler and staples (to make signs);
  • Dog sniffer;
  • Trail cameras;
  • Doorbell or any footage in the area.

The dog's owner, Bryan, and the dog are from Calgary.

"In Calgary, she usually walks near the river and in the bushes so she could also be in the area," said Marie. "The biggest thing is she will probably run from anyone who isn't Bryan so if anyone sees her don't try and catch her just see if she will approach and call Bryan with location ASAP."
