21 hectares wildfire discovered near Manning Park

Blaze found Sunday by Turnbull Creek, according to BC Wildfire Service

A wildfire discovered on Sunday, Aug. 31 near Manning Park is out of control, according to the B.C. Wildfire Service map. 

The blaze is located 2.6-kilometres west of Turnbull Creek, and is 21 hectares as of 12:34 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 1.

According to B.C. Wildfire Service, an out-of-control wildfire means it is either spreading or anticipated to spread beyond the current perimeter or control line.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. No details are available yet on evacuation alerts or orders.
