After nearly a month away from home, the Okanagan Sun gave their fans tons to cheer about, dropping nine touchdowns in a 70-3 evisceration of the Kamloops Broncos.
The win moved the Sun to 6-0 on the season, continuing their winning streak.
Kamloops (0-6) was always going to have a problem breaking through a stout Sun defence, as the Broncos mustered just 123 passing yards and three interceptions.
Okanagan got five receiving touchdowns off the arms of Marcus Christos (six for seven for 102 yards, three touchdowns) and Liam Kroeger (14 for 19 for 241 yards, two touchdowns and one interception).
Jordayne Falconer, Gerren Hardisty, Parker Scott, Ethan Bilo and Ty Walker all caught touchdown passes, while Hardisty led the rushing attack with 142 yards on 16 carries for two touchdowns. Falconer added a rushing score himself and a 31-yard punt return scamper.
Defensively, Okanagan had two safeties in the opening quarter, and picks from Easton Fenske, Glen Kodua and Sydney Oddoye.
The Sun have now played every team in the British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC), winning each one, averaging 46 points a game while giving up just 60 total points.
Next up, the Sun travel to Prince George to take on the Kodiaks (4-2) on Saturday, Sept. 6. Kick off is slated for 6 p.m.
