Do you have some documents around the house you don't need anymore?

Now is your chance to get rid of them for good at the ninth annual Community Shred event, put on the Okanagan Crime Stoppers and the Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO).

At the event, residents will have the chance to safely dispose and shred their personal documents and confidential papers to protect themselves against identity theft while supporting community safety. Okanagan Paper Shredding will be providing the shredding services.

The event is taking place in the RDCO parking lot, located at 1450 KLO Road at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 3. It will end when the truck is full or until 1 p.m.

The suggested donation price is $10 per bankers box of papers, with a maximum of five per household. If someone has larger volumes, they are asked to contact Okanagan Paper Shredding at service@okanaganshredding.ca. Crime Stoppers will issue a tax receipt for donations over $20.
