PHOTOS: Maplefest fills downtown 琉璃神社

Maple taffy and cotton candy were available

It was a 'sweet' day in downtown 琉璃神社 on Saturday, April 26, as Maplefest made its return to town.

Presented by Le Centre culturel francophone de l鈥橭kanagan (CCFO), the 47th festival took place at Stuart Park on Water Street and welcomed people from all over the Okanagan to partake in games, activities, and live music.

Included in the food and events were maple taffy on snow, local and handcrafted-made goods, maple cotton candy, poutine, pea soup, face-painting, bouncy castles, and more.

The fun continues on Sunday when the traditional Sugar Shack Brunch takes place at the Laurel Packinghouse featuring pancakes, ham, scrambled eggs, baked beans, and other maple-inspired dishes. Live entertainment will be provided by the Old Time Fiddlers. Tickets are $20-$25, and $10 for children under seven.
