Both events happened beside each other

Two events took over Water Street and the Prospera Place parking lot on Saturday, Aug. 23.

The BC Corvette Club hosted its 60th Anniversary Show and Shine along Water Street while food trucks, activities, and road hockey took over the parking lot in front of Prospera Place as ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Hockey Fest returned.

ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç residents got treated to both events as they occurred beside each other.

As the day continued, the ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Hockey Fest Pro Game took place with current and retired NHL stars including Stanley Cup champs Brent Seabrook and Duncan Keith, Hall of Famer Shea Weber, Brayden Schenn, Tyler Myers, Ethan Bear, Dustin Wolf, Shea Theodore, and the NHL’s first female coach Jessica Campbell.

At the inaugural hockey fest in 2024, more than 3,000 attendees helped raise over $20,000 for the YMCA of Southern Interior B.C.
