DAN BENOIT
Dan Benoit is the owner of Wieners Plumbing and Drain Cleaning Inc., a well-established 琉璃神社 company with over four decades of trusted service. Originally from Saskatchewan, Dan began his career in the trades in 1998 and became a Red Seal Journeyman Plumber in 2003. Over the years, he has added multiple certifications to his name鈥攊ncluding Class A Gasfitter and Red Seal Steamfitter/Pipefitter鈥攚hich have allowed him to take on specialized work and grow as a leader in the industry.
After relocating to 琉璃神社 in 2017, Dan joined Wieners Plumbing, and in 2021, took the leap into entrepreneurship by purchasing the company. Under his leadership, the team has more than doubled in size, thanks to a people-first approach and a supportive, fun work environment. Dan is passionate about mentorship and regularly collaborates with programs like Okanagan College/KSS鈥檚 Dual Credit initiative to foster the next generation of tradespeople.
He also gives back through community events like the Okanagan Dream Rally, supporting children and families facing medical challenges. For Dan, success is about more than just business鈥攊t's about building community, empowering others, and turning challenges into opportunities for growth.
ERIC LEDDING
Eric Ledding is a partner at Pushor Mitchell Lawyers LLP, where he has practiced law with integrity, collaboration, and a strong commitment to mentorship for over two decades. Known for his calm, practical approach, Eric leads with empathy and purpose鈥攚hether resolving legal disputes or guiding young lawyers in their careers. He currently chairs the Canadian Bar Association BC Branch鈥檚 Professional Issues Committee and has long been active in the 琉璃神社 Bar Association, BC Trial Lawyers Association, and CBABC Council.
Beyond the courtroom, Eric鈥檚 leadership shines through his deep-rooted community involvement. He served as president of the 琉璃神社 Track and Field Club (now the Okanagan Athletics Club), helping preserve and strengthen a vital athletic program that now produces top-tier national and international athletes. He鈥檚 also coached youth soccer, contributed to the KGH Foundation Cabinet, and supported the United Way and Terry Fox Run as a member of Terry鈥檚 Team for over 20 years.
Eric believes in quietly supporting grassroots initiatives that uplift individuals and foster growth. KYLE NIXON
Kyle Nixon is the founder of Nixon Hospitality, a company that has shaped the local hospitality scene through ventures like Public Liquor and BNA Brewing, as well as his leadership in the Hotel Eldorado. With a background from Minnesota State and a Cicerone Level 2 certification, Kyle combines his passion for hospitality with a deep understanding of the industry. His leadership is grounded in a love for people鈥攂oth the team he works with and the guests he serves. This approach has made Nixon Hospitality a trusted name in the community.
A highlight of Kyle鈥檚 career was guiding the Hotel Eldorado through the 2008 recession, ensuring its continued success as a local staple. Nixon Hospitality's legacy grew with the opening of Public Liquor and BNA Brewing in 2015, creating valuable jobs and resources for the community.
Outside of business, Kyle鈥檚 philanthropic efforts include supporting the Innkeepers fundraising gala and various CMHA initiatives. He is a mentor to emerging hospitality leaders, aiming to develop the next generation of professionals who can impact their communities.
